Mission:

The Key Account Manager (Client Lead) continuously aims to expand and retain clients by building relationships to relevant stakeholders (internally and externally) and ensures fitting products and services drive maximum growth for the client base.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Client Development:

  • You are the mini-CEO for the client, taking accountability for whether objectives are met (MRR development, client satisfaction, retention) and driving relentless improvements across client KPIs (set by the client) especially the whole revenue development over time
  • Take over full responsibility for commercial development, drive negotiations and escalation management supported by the Director Sales & Key Account Management
  • Responsible for the client’s profitability (we are profitable based on the hours spent to our sold, connected to our economic calculation, conscious plans in place to grow / improve)

Relationship Management:

  • Build a deep relationship with the key decision makers at the client based on trust and added value
  • Full responsibility to understand the whole buying centre of a client among different products (data, dynamic pricing, upper funnel or performance marketing) and build up a relationship to different decision makers and define a dedicated roadmap for everyone of them to up or cross sell our product portfolio
  • Proactively and autonomously develop, present, and execute growth-focused strategic plans with clients including marketing, content, and inventory and ensure the client applies the right mix of company Products & Services to exceed expectations

Strategy:

  • Develop and lead your team from a client’s perspective, ensuring relevant capacity and knowledge is available and think strategically by articulating client goals clearly
  • Understanding the client in terms of industry, structure (buying centre), people, objectives and strategic direction and documenting this information on the client account in our CRM system
  • Act as a generalist by understanding our products and services, how they are connected and in which way they impact the success of our clients. Make sure that your knowledge base is always up to date to fulfil these expectations Work closely with Team Leads and Personal Developers and provide support, feedback and any learning and development needs on team members in structured feedback loops
  • Share strategic plans and roadmaps for the clients with the responsible (Senior) CSM, to ensure a smooth distribution and high-quality execution of operative tasks within the client team
  • Actively share information, knowledge and client specific developments with your team (e.g. strategic goals and changes over time, buying centre and staff changes, contractual changes and information about the active contracts at all)
